11 Prohibited Objects to Import and Export in Different Countries
Do you miss traveling? Considering that we are unfortunately restricted or limited in making trips, we gave ourselves the task of reading some interesting articles about prohibited objects in some countries, one of the ones that we liked the most we share below.
The prohibitions for the import or export of articles in the countries normally have to do with some measure to protect the health of the inhabitants or the internal market of said country, the team of the Bright Side site reviewed information from 11 countries, listed below:
1. SWITZERLAND. Fake Swiss watches.
Since 2008, fake Swiss watches have been confiscated and destroyed.

2. TUNISIA. Date palms and henna
Import or export of these products is prohibited. The palms may be due to the protectionism of the country towards its own production and the henna may be due to when certain drugs were transported hidden as henna.

3. CHINA. Lighters
According to Chinese law, it is prohibited to carry lighters both in checked baggage and in cabin baggage. In fact, it is not even possible on transit flights, however there are always lighters in the areas available for smoking.

4. BARBADOS. Camouflage
It is prohibited in Barbados to wear camouflage unless you belong to official military personnel. So if you are a tourist wearing camouflage, you will have to change your clothes.

5. KENYA. Plastic bags
Since August 2017, there is a law in Kenya that prohibits the use of plastic bags. This is one of the measures they started to protect the environment. If you buy, sell or use plastic bags, you could pay up to 38,000 in fine or a sentence of up to 4 years in prison. Tourists who arrive in the country and bring plastic bags are asked to throw them away, but it is preferable not to travel with any of these.

6. VIETNAM. Fish sauce
Exporting fish sauce from Vietnam is prohibited. You can't even take it if you're taking a domestic flight. There is no official ban, but if customs officers find it in your bag, you will have to throw it away. This is because the sauce has a very strong smell and if it spills, it is almost impossible to get rid of it. Most airlines are not prepared to take this risk.

7. NIGERIA. Acetaminophen, fruit juice, and empty bills
You cannot bring Acetaminophen (Paracetamol) pills, fruit juice or empty bills to Nigeria. Other strange bans include carbonated mineral water and mosquito nets.

8. The Seychelles. Coco de mer
If you want to export coco de mer from Seychelles, it will cost you between € 150 and € 250 and you can only do so under these conditions: the coco de mer must be purchased from an official seller with a special tag and passport. Its weight should not exceed 20 kilograms, otherwise you will have to do without it.

9. THAILAND. Vapes, Buddha statues, Durio fruit and watermelon
Under Thai law, the use of e-cigarettes or vapers could carry a fine of 300,000 baht or a prison sentence of up to 10 years. You cannot export Buddha statues larger than 13 centimeters. Also, durian cannot be carried on board airplanes because it has an intolerable smell. And a watermelon can be transported only if it has been cut because otherwise it could explode due to pressure.

10. THE NETHERLANDS. Flower bulbs
In the Netherlands, you may have trouble exporting more than 5 kilograms of flower bulbs.

11. NEW ZEALAND. Bicycles and some breeds of dogs
You cannot bring bicycles to New Zealand because they can transport plant seeds from another country that can penetrate the ground and grow. And this could lead to a change in the unique flora of this country. In addition, there are strict rules on the importation of animals, their sperm and embryos. The following dog breeds cannot be brought to New Zealand: American Pit Bull Terrier, Brazilian Mastiff, Argentine Dogo, Tosa Inu, and Canary Mastiff. Also, you cannot export kiwi wine.
